“God’s Word Is a Voice from Heaven” — Sunday Sermon from October 25, 2026

The Authoritative Voice of the Creator in the Modern World

In the life of every person and family, circumstances arise when one must seek a way out of difficulties or complex situations. In a world full of noise, varying opinions, and advice, the voice of the heavenly Creator remains the most authoritative — His unchanging and active Word. It serves as daily spiritual bread that provides wisdom, strength to navigate life’s journey, and teaches us to forgive and believe.

Trusting God’s Call: The Example of Abraham

The first biblical example is the story of Abraham, whom God commanded, at the age of 75, to leave his home and set out for an unknown land.

“The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing”.
Genesis 12:1-2 NIV

Abraham heard the voice of God, demonstrated faith through action, and stepped into the unknown—after which God fulfilled His promise. This example teaches us not to waver when faced with life’s challenges, but rather to heed God’s voice instead of relying solely on human logic or philosophical reasoning.

The Consequences of Ignoring Warnings: The Example of Nebuchadnezzar

The second story concerns King Nebuchadnezzar, who lived in luxury but ignored God’s warnings—delivered through the prophet Daniel—and failed to break away from his sins by practicing righteousness.

“While the words were still in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, “O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: The kingdom has departed from you”
Daniel 4:31 ESV

Because of his arrogance, the king lost his reason and was brought low, until he lifted his eyes to heaven and repented. This life lesson demonstrates that ignoring God’s word leads to ruin, but sincere repentance always opens the door to restoration and God’s blessing.

God’s Search for Man and the Eternal “Where Are You?”

The third story turns to the events in the Garden of Eden, when, following the Fall, Adam hid from God among the trees.

“But the LORD God called to the man and said to him, ‘Where are you?’”
Genesis 3:9 ESV

Sin compels a person to hide, creating an illusion of safety within the “forests” of life—amidst the bustle, fears, or addictions. Yet, God lovingly calls out to everyone: “Where are you?” He does not use force; rather, He awaits a voluntary step from the person toward Him.

Summary

Time flies quickly, and a person’s most important task is to protect their mind from destructive information and to live according to God’s will. Regular Bible reading and prayer serve as essential nourishment for the soul, helping one navigate life and keep eternity in view.
