Parallel Bible Reading Plan: Old and New Testaments

Dear Church!

Have you ever wondered why Christians read the Bible?

Some people say that all believers are obligated to read the Bible, but the idea of being obligated to do something usually repels people rather than attracts them. We read letters from loved ones not because we have to, but because we love them. Such letters often bring us closer, encourage us to maintain an emotional connection with that person and get to know them better. The Bible is a letter from the One who loves you more than anything else.

The Bible is not just love letters, but also essential instructions on many life issues. I read God’s Word because, for me, it’s the most powerful motivator on earth. Through reading, I become much calmer, learning self-control, discipline, hard work, and determination. The Bible teaches me how to build a healthy life, how to strengthen family relationships, and how to find peace in the midst of problems and trials.

Sometimes I lose the desire to read the Bible, but by following a Bible reading plan, I stay in optimal shape. I hope this plan will help you too. Read the Bible every day. To read three chapters a day, you’ll need 10-20 minutes. Imagine 20 minutes of your time, and your life will be transformed and filled with God’s presence.

With love in Christ,
Pastor of God’s Glory Church, Alexander Koltukov.

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7)
