Rejected Stone

The stone lay in the dust. Thousands and thousands of feet walked over him, he saw a lot and was silent about a lot. Silence is so characteristic of a stone, especially if you are rejected. The builders rejected you and put you on the pavement, and now you are being trampled by all and sundry.
But today seems to be an unusual day. A lot of feet walk along the pavement and step on rejected stones. Here is another leg, and behind it a blow and something wooden slid across the stone, drops of blood on the pavement and again legs, many legs.
Stone – he dreamed of being special and becoming the foundation of some beautiful building, but he was rejected, rejected, he was too bulky, and the shape did not work out. All it was considered appropriate to use it for was to make a door out of it into a tomb, and now it is waiting in the wings, when it will be rolled to the entrance and it will reliably guard it. Today his dream came true, he was finally good at something. Someone is crying, but he is happy, because he was an outcast, but today they remembered him and now he reliably guards the entrance to the once empty tomb.
Morning. Wonderful sunrise. How many dawns has this stone met, being unnecessary to anyone, and today, when its existence finally found its meaning, it was unceremoniously rolled away from the coffin for the sake of some women. Is it really his destiny to be rejected and unwanted? How unfair this is.
The stone was silent, because what could it say? After all, he did not choose his fate and destiny. People chose for him, and he could only accept what they did to him. And if you decide to reject him again, well, that’s his fate. Fate is to be an outcast and useless to anyone.
The stone that Christ also rejected, what can they have in common? Creator of the universe and creation, builder and building material.
The cornerstone of life is God. Remove it from the foundation, and the entire edifice of life will collapse. Это – от Господа. This is the law of life. Laws can be observed, or they can be rejected, but this will not stop them from being laws.
A rejected stone is useless, but when it is placed in masonry or pavement, it lasts long and serves faithfully.
There is a stone that has been rejected. You and I rejected, because we consider ourselves the builders of our lives and others are not our decree. We choose how to build, from what and what will be the foundation in our life. And by making this choice, we reject this precious stone again and again.
Jesus once said: “…have you never read in the Scriptures: the stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner? Is this from the Lord, and is it marvelous in our eyes?” (Matt. 21:42)
Christ and the stone, what could be in common?
He may be an outcast, or he may become a treasure to us. We can put it at the foundation of our life, or we can simply throw it away as something unnecessary and useless. We can believe in Him, and having believed, entrust our lives so that He, as the builder of the universe, can create it, or we, like a foolish builder, brush aside Him and build our house on the sand.
Do not reject this precious “Stone” and let It become the foundation of your life!
