Philip Savochka

Pylyp Mykhailovych Savochka is a bishop and senior pastor of the “Salvation” churches. He was born into a family of ministers in the city of Stepan, Rivne region. He began preaching at the age of 10, at 16 he served as a youth leader, and at 19 he was blessed to serve as a choir regent. In parallel, he led the pop and symphony orchestra at the church. At the age of 23, the Lord called Pylyp Mykhailovych to serve as a youth leader in Kyiv. In 1983, God gave him a vision to create the singing group “White Line,” which evangelized in the cities and villages of Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Cherkasy regions.

In 1992, God gave Pylyp Mykhailovych a new vision — to open churches in Kyiv and Kyiv region. The “White Line” group participated in the birth of more than 10 churches.

In 1993, Pastor Pylyp, his wife, and several volunteer helpers started a church from scratch in the city of Vyshneve, Kyiv region. For almost two years, the church did not grow, but later God’s revelation about house churches awakened it and gave it fruitful growth. In 1997, the church had 20 house churches, in 1999 — 70, in 2001 — 150, and by the end of 2006 — more than 300 house churches, 14 branches, and about 4 thousand people.

In 2003, the “Salvation” church completed the construction of the temple, which serves as an architectural decoration of the city.

In 2018, construction began near the temple on the Great Hall for 4,500 seats, where the church plans to hold services, conferences, and evangelism.

In terms of growth rates, the “Salvation” church is among the leaders in Ukraine today. It has thousands of saved people, more than 200 local churches and hundreds of home groups.

Pastor Pylyp and his wife Nina have four children: daughter Marina and sons Oleksandr, Oleksiy and David, as well as 5 grandchildren. His wife serves as a pastor of social and women’s ministry. Daughter Marina is a spiritual counselor and wife of the pastor of the church “Word of Grace” (Kyiv), son Oleksandr is a pastor of glorification, Oleksiy is a pastor and member of the evangelistic and missionary team, and David serves as a pastor of a local church and a pastor of the 3rd stream.

Thanks to his high leadership potential, Pylyp Mykhailovych has created a strong team of ministers with whom he fruitfully works to expand the Kingdom of God in Ukraine and beyond.
