From December 25, a new local TV channel will appear in the cable networks of Rivne. “Sfera-TV” television and radio company will start broadcasting on this day. The lion’s share of the air time will be occupied by scientific and educational programs, a large part of which will be religious, – said the representative of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, Dmytro Tarasyuk.

According to the license, the new TV channel will broadcast on the second special channel SK-2 (which can be tuned by all the people who have cable TV) 18 hours a day: from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. Of them, 12 hours will be programs of own and domestic production, the rest will be TV programs of foreign companies.

It is expected that the channel will show informative, analytical, journalistic, cultural and artistic programs designed for an adult audience. 10 hours of airtime will be devoted to educational programs, noted Dmytro Tarasyuk.
This is also confirmed by Volodymyr Romanyuk, director of Sfera-TV:

– We will not have feature films, most of the programs will be educational. We have almost completed the installation of the equipment. We are currently working on the creative content of our future broadcasting.

The new TV channel will operate in the premises of the former “Channel 10” at 11 Mickiewicz Street. According to Dmytro Tarasyuk, the organizers of the TV channel decided to emphasize the revival of spirituality, so most of the programs will have a religious orientation. There will be no programs that promote aggression and violence. Local Christian communities: traditional and Protestant, joined the creation of the TV channel.

Currently, there are two local TV channels in Rivne — the regional state television and radio company and the commercial center “Rivne 1”
