For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Christmas, no doubt – a very special celebration!

On this day, has more than 2,000 years ago, the baby Jesus was born. Celebration of Christmas around the world celebrate a lot of people. But today, for you and pressing question: “What is this baby is unique and special in him?”

Over 700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, God inspired the prophet Isaiah to write the following words: “For to us a child is born – a son is given us …”. What kind of a special child, that of his birth should have been saying for 700 years before His coming? What is special about him for you and for me today, that we celebrate His birth?

First of all, what makes this baby special – it is His divine nature. Isaiah says, “and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace …” (Is.9: 6). Lord, to draw attention to the unborn baby into the world, speaks of him as himself. And these qualities, which can belong only to God, we see this unusual babe. After all, if the child is “Mighty God”, “Eternal Father” and “Prince of Peace,” He is without a doubt, not just a normal baby, but God who became incarnate in man. Understanding this truth must draw our attention to the fact, for anyone born on this wonderful baby.

God says through Isaiah: “For us a child is born – a son is given us …” God twice reiterates a simple word – “we.” Why is it so important? For what sort of repeating the same idea twice? Whether a baby is born for us? It is given to us? Only by answering these questions can understand why God was so important to emphasize this truth. The fact that the birth of Jesus Christ – is a historical fact, that this will not argue any opponents of Christianity, nor His followers. But the fact of being born here is a baby, just says: “He is born for YOU, and whether he given you?”

As a man, Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary – in the execution of the first part of this verse: “For a child born to us …” Jesus was an ordinary child, which is entirely dependent on their earthly parents – Mary and Joseph. But as the Son of God – He is “given to us,” because he can not appeared our property or our natural son. God gave us His Son so that we become His children.

In the Gospel of John we read a conversation, which is very important in understanding the prophecy of Isaiah: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believer in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3 : 16). Notice the similarities? “God gave His Son …” To whom God gave His Son? Who was given this baby? Dan is the Son of God to you? What do you do with this fact? Do you accept that the young child, or, as in Bethlehem, saying: “There is no place.”

The baby is born and it’s a fact! The prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, and the “Son given to us.” Do you accept this babe, are you allowed God’s Son to be born in your heart to a dirty barn could become a house of God? The choice is yours. God has not sent his Son to judge you, but to save you. If you do not accept this babe, then you are condemned already, “… because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” This is the essence of Christmas. For the sake of Jesus Christ came into this world.

In closing, I would like you to watch another excerpt from the Gospel: “In the world was, and the world was made through him … And for those who received Him, to believe in His name, he gave power to become children of God …” (John 1:10 – 12).

Have you accepted Christ? Did you have a child of God? God did all that for you it was real. But these are questions to which you must answer yourself and God.

Merry Christmas dear!

And may the birth of Christ is more alive and real in this world just because he was born for you!
